Fruit Cherries Reduce Sleepy

Of the small, red, cherry fruit has some manfaaat. One is to help improve the quality and duration of sleep the night so that one can live well on its activities during the day. As quoted from Genius Beauty, to conduct the study, researchers gathered 20 volunteers. During the week, they mengosumsi 30 milli liters of cherry juice or other juices every day. Scientists from the School of Biological Sciences, University of Northumbria reveals cherry juice may improve sleep quality. The researchers recommend the cherry juice can increase the concentration of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. To evaluate the level of melatonin, the experts collect urine samples before and after the experiment. In addition, the volunteers also wear wristwatch sensor tracking cycles of sleep and wakefulness.

From the results it was found that participants who drank cherry juice has increased 15 to 16 percent concentration of melatonin in the urine. They also slept 25 minutes longer, and sleep quality increased 5 to 6 percent.

The volunteers who mengosumi cherry juice say they are not sleepy during the day. Previously, scientists have also found other benefits of the fun of cherry juice. Namely the ability to reduce muscle pain.
